I lost another pound this week!

I have been doing the treadmill on my lunch breaks 4 days a week.  I notice my clothes are much looser, but the scale is slow moving.  I am okay with that.  It goes up and down during the week.  I just record today's weight and measurements.  I feel good.

I am growing used to getting full quickly, and learning not to eat fast. I still find it difficult to drink enough water in a day.  I may still have issues with sleep apnea and have an appt next week at the Kaiser sleep clinic to find out if I do.  As well as looking into getting the Combi Patch", to help make me a nicer person while I go through peri-menopause.

The hormone imbalance is crazy and it certainly plays with my stress and emotional eating triggers. I have only one trigger food that is my go to when I can't deal with the world and that is CHOCOLATE.  Milk Chocolate.  I don't need much to fix what is ailing me, Once I eat it, I do feel better, but I do feel sort of out of control when I do.  I don't feel a sugar addiction, but it could be something like that I feel when the sugar hits my bloodstream.  It is a drug.  It feels like a drug.

I don't overeat chocolate, but I go through cravings that feel out of control, and that concerns me.  This video helped me get a better understanding at what I could possibly be beginning to experience.

Part of what happens for me in my personal life long dieting insanity is that when I deprive myself of any food, I begin to trigger the old dieting Eat, Repent, Repeat Cycle.  The mindful eating course I took really helped me understand this part. I still struggle with the deprivation at times in the mornings during a 16/8 fasting protocol session.  I only do it when I need to break through a long weight loss stall.

I love food, I love to taste things.  I also want to live a normal life. I am half way through my Honeymoon phase in this VSG Post-op journey.  I still think this was the best decision I have ever made.  The hardest part of this is psychological.

HAVE A FABULOUS WEEKEND WEIGHT LOSS WARRIORS!

10 month ~ VSG Post Op Update...

I gained a pound since last week, but lost another inch on my tummy.  My weight-loss is slow but steady.  I stopped the 16/8 intermittent fasting protocols for a week, and really see and feel the difference.  I need to get through this weigh-loss stall, so back on I go.

I seems easier for me to stay on a Keto (HFLC) diet 5 days during my work week. The weekends are when I mix it up a bit.  I am not strictly in ketosis all the time, but I am considering it until I get down to 195.  I REALLY want to get there soon.

Even with a tiny tummy, you still are dealing with choosing WHAT to eat.  The how much is taken care of for you because of the size of your tummy.  Emotional eating is still an issue, but the high fat low carb diet is really helping with that.  I have been making my own lunches and bringing them to work so I don't eat the fruit, bagels and pizza they always have at the office.

I feel like this year I need to put my head down and work hard to get through this change.  It's much easier with a tiny tummy.  I do get hungry, but nothing like I used to.  I see this as the 10 month REAL adjustment to weight-loss surgery.  I am half way to my goal and am determined to get lean and trim and healthier.  After I hit 145 lbs. it will be maintenance.  Getting to my goal is the challenge.  I WILL GET THERE.

I gave myself 2 years to get there.  Most people make there goal by then and maintain it.  I know 145 lbs. is low for me, I expect to gain some back after this new body set point is maintained.  I just want to feel good in my skin, be out of pain and get to wear great clothes in my normal size.  I NEVER WILL SHOP AT LANE GIANT AGAIN.

One more pound gone!

Hi All,

I'm still pretty sick with this cold/flu bug, but I lost one more pound this week.  I have a deep nasty cough and I relapsed with a fever again last night.  My body is still fighting this thing off.  I feel like crap, but happy to still be on track.

Sick as a dog.

I'M SHRINKING! ~ 65 pounds & 44 1/2 inches lost so far!

I lost one more pound this week!  IT'S SLOW BUT STEADY.  : )

I also caught the "Cold of the Century".  I had to come home from work yesterday because I was so friggin sick.  I flopped down on the bed and slept from 1pm to 7pm, got up ate a hot bowl of soup and then went back to bed and slept another 9 hours.  I am feeling better today, but may need to lay low this weekend.

I'm sure my immune system is low due to stress.  My new job is great, but very busy.  My living situation changed.  The landlord sold the house he has just rented to me and 5 other people.  He also keeps changing his story. We have not been asked to leave, and he said he is not sure what the new owners will want to do, but we will find out in a month or so.

He has been acting extra weird lately.  He keeps creeping around the house, coming in whenever he wants uninvited and unannounced.  I think he has a crush on one of the women upstairs.  He is getting creepy and I don't feel safe here anymore.  I sat him down and read him the law and we discussed our lease and how it explains he needs to give us 24 hours notice if he is coming to the house.  EVEN THE LEASE HE GAVE US SAYS 24 HRS NOTICE MUST BE GIVEN.  He finally agreed.  Most all of us are looking for new places to live asap.  STRESSFUL STUFF.   The good news is I lost another pound this week!  I keep focused on what IS working in my life. : )

40 weeks VSG Post Op
65 pounds & 44 1/2  inches lost so far!

It really feels like it too.  I put on the new suit this morning that I bought for my interview a month ago.  IT LOOKS HUGE ON ME NOW.  It's way too big.  I am starting to see the real change coming in my shape.  I think the Leangains 16/8 intermittent fasting and doing my workout at at the end of my fast at 11:30am daily and eating an almost Keto lifestyle, is burning more fat off me than ever before.  I am getting leaner.  The scale is not moving that fast, but the inches are!  It's REALLY making a difference in blowing through weight loss stalls.

I saw some friends last weekend that I hadn't seen in almost two years.  They were blown away at my change.  It felt extra great, because one of them said some mean shit about me regarding my size and my weight back then.  I'm on my way to feeling better on many levels, but right now, I GOT TO GO BLOW MY NOSE.  I am on track to getting to my goal of 145 pounds this year.

I need one of these.

My ass is still parked at the same weight this week.

Yo All,

So I started my new fun job supporting computational Scientists in Discovery Biology at my NEW AWESOME START-Up JOB this week. Weee!  I work in the Dog Patch of San Francisco everyday from here on out.

I just spent $8.00 for 2 scrambled eggs and 1 sausage patty for breakfast.  I then spent $17.95 for a small bowl of soup and a thin sandwich for lunch. This was my first day on the job. WTF? Yea, I'm in THE BIG CITY.  :  )

How can a tiny tummy girl eat KETO in a fancy pants city on a small budget?  I will soon hopefully show you how.

I got on the scale this morning and nothing changed, thank Bob.   I did drink some serious Tre's Friday Night Indulgences (Low Brow Champagne & TJ Cherry Cider) after I found out our Landlord brought several unannounced rounds of "Investors" throughout the house without notice and the sold our house to them and didn't explain WHF was happening.  He is extra special that way.

When I called him on speaker with everyone renting the house present, he said nothing will change. Sounds shady, but like he somehow worked out his debt issue in a creative way.  We all haven't an ounce of faith in this guy, but we hope he is telling us the truth and that after just moving into this place, that we will not have to all to move again.  WE WILL SOON SEE.  At least one thing is stable in my life, my  income.

I looked around my place of work for cool lofts apartments, rooms for rent, studios etc. and they want $1899 for a walk in closet "Efficiency Studio" with a hot plate. HELL NO.  The Girls & I, live is a house that just sold for $999,000. and we all share the place happily.  United Airlines Attendants, Me & another diva in Biotech, an adorable Barista & a History Teacher/Nanny.

It has been a weird STRESSFUL week.  Amazingly, I did not dive face first into Bi-Rite Creamery.  That actually would be a good way to go.

I bought some nice Microwaveable Re-Sealable Bento Boxes and an Microwave Egg Poacher for work meals.  I have some HFCL meals planned everyday until my first pay check on the 15th.   I hope to have my Leopard Lounge VW Glamper Bus home soon!

Sunday I will pre-make yummy lunches for the week and hopefully will totally  enjoy them.

AMAZING ICE CREAM!
